Arethusa Falls

$1,000.00

16 X 20 Oil On Mounted Canvas

Nestled in the southern end of Crawford Notch State Park,

Arethusa Falls is regarded by many as the best scenic waterfall in New Hampshire.

It's also believed to be the tallest. AMC’s White Mountain Guide

lists the falls as nearly 200 feet.

Although the trail, leading up to the falls, is rated as a “Family Hike,”

it is a hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire

with a lot of rocks and gnarly tree roots throughout the trail,

which climbs 900 feet over 1.5 miles. That's not much, but it can be challenging.

I hiked this trail several times with great friends and family.

A few of us even climbed to the top of the steep falls,

grabbing onto tree roots, saplings, and rocks to get the top.

The climb was a little challenging,

however, the beautiful view at the top made it well worth while!

Add Arethusa Falls to your to-do list.
